In Florida there is law known as the “Sunshine Law” which requires government meetings to be properly noticed to the public. We post notices for all Council and Board meetings on our website and on the bulletin boards in City Hall.
Regular Council meetings are held on the first Monday of each month. Workshop meetings are held on the third Monday of each month. If either of those Mondays fall on a holiday, the meeting will be held the following Tuesday. Special meetings are called as needed. All meetings begin at 6:00 pm.
We encourage all citizens to attend these meetings and see your local government at work. Public comments are always welcome at all council and board meetings.
CITY OF NEPTUNE BEACH
Notice is hereby given that the REGULAR MEETING of the City Council of the City of Neptune Beach, Florida will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 116 First Street, Neptune Beach, Florida.
A SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING will be held at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of swearing in the newly elected City Council members.
No other business may be brought before this meeting. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Council with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing the person will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 286.26, Florida Statute, persons with disabilities needing special accommodation to participate in these meetings should contact the City Clerk’s Office no later than 48 hours prior to the day of the meeting.
